Bachira grew up deeply isolated because his football skills were too advanced for his peers. He developed an imaginary friend, 'The Monster', to cope with his loneliness. Upon entering Blue Lock (Team Z), he immediately recognized Yoichi Isagi as a fellow 'Monster' and latched onto him. Over the course of the series, Bachira learns to shed his dependency on Isagi, eventually becoming the absolute ace and centerpiece of FC Barcha during the Neo Egoist League.
